Alinde Quintet was founded by successful young interpreters from the Czech Republic - Anna Talácková (Flute), Barbora Trnčíková (Oboe), David Šimeček (Clarinet), Kryštof Koska (French Horn), Petr Sedlák (Bassoon) who studied at renowned Music Universities in London, Brussels, Ljubljana, Lyon, Prague.
Very soon the ensemble received 1st Prize at the Bucharest International Music Competition for Wind Quintets, 1st Prize at the ODIN International Chamber Music Competition, 3rd Prize at the OPUS Competition and in 2023 they became laureates of the prestigious Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition. In 2024 they were finalist of the ROSL Competition in London.
They are experienced orchestra players, members of the Czech Philharmonic, National Theatre Prague, PKF - Prague Philharmonia, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, European Union Youth Orchestra, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic etc.
As soloists they are laureates of many international competitions - Prague Spring International Music Competition, Chieri International Competition, Pro Bohemia International Competition etc. They are all enthusiastic chamber music players.
ANNA TALÁCKOVÁ / flute
In 2019 Anna became a laureate of Prague Spring International Competition, receiving 2nd prize, and a winner of Kuhlau Flute Competition in Uelzen, Germany. She was also among semifinalists of Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition in 2018. She studied flute at the Music Grammar School of Prague, continued at the Prague Conservatoire and then at the University of Ostrava in the class of Jan Ostrý, where she received her master degree. During her studies, she took part in Erasmus projects and studied in Brussels, Ljubljana and Saarbrücken. Anna participated in many international flute master courses in Austria, Germany or Liechtenstein with renowned teachers, such as Philippe Bernold, Philippe Boucly, Michel Moraguès, Barthold Kuijken and Gaby Pas-Van Riet. Beside her soloistic career, she is a member of Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and teaches at the University of Ostrava.
BARBORA TRNČÍKOVÁ / oboe
Barbora is currently 1st oboist of the Czech Philharmonic. She is a winner of several competitions, such as International Music Competition in Chieri - Italy, Pro Bohemia Ostrava etc. After her studies at the Music Grammar School of Prague, she entered the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague where she is now attending her doctoral studies. She spent part of her studies abroad, at music universities of Lyon and London with professors Jean-Louis Capezzali, Jerôme Guichard, Olivier Stankiewicz and Fabien Thouand. She performed as a soloist with Prague Philharmonia, Brno Philharmonic, Prague Symphony Orchestra etc. She was a member of the orchestral academy of Czech Philharmonic, Prague Philharmonia and participated in several tours of Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, European Union Youth Orchestra and Moritzburg Festival Academy Orchestra. Barbora was a member of Brno Philharmonic, National Theater Orchestra in Prague and Chamber Music Academy. She is a founder of woodwind Trio Slavic.
DAVID ŠIMEČEK / clarinet
Since his childhood, David proves himself as an outstanding talent and a laureate of several competitions, such as Concertino Praga, National Competition of Conservatories, Youth and Bohuslav Martinů and the Czech Clarinet Art in Hořice, Czech Republic. After graduation at grammar school, he began his musical studies at the Conservatory of České Budějovice, during which he already won an audition to The National Theatre Orchestra in Prague. He received his master degree at Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno in class of Milan Polák and Vít Spilka, where he continues his doctoral studies. David was also a member of the orchestral academy of the Czech Philharmonic, Ensemble L’ Armonia Terrena and participated in several tours with the prestigious European Union Youth Orchestra.
KRYŠTOF KOSKA / french horn
Kryštof is a member of The National Theater Orchestra in Prague, Prague Philharmonia and Moravia Brass Band. He started his music education learning to play the violin, then the french horn and also the piano. Up to this day, among his most significant successes are the 2nd prize in the International Interpretation Competition for Wind Instruments in Brno, the 1st prize in the Wind Competition Pardubice and the 1st prize and the absolute winner title in the National Competition of Czech Conservatories. After finishing his studies at the Brno Conservatoire in the class of Jindřich Petráš he continued at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of Ondřej Vrabec and Jan Vobořil. Together with his brother, also a horn player Mikuláš Koska, he would like to follow the tradition of the legendary Czech brothers-horn players, Zdeněk and Bedřich Tylšar. In the free time Kryštof is conducting or arranging music.
PETR SEDLÁK / bassoon
After graduation at Brno Conservatoire Petr has received his master degree at the Royal College of Music in London. He is a Hattori Foundation Senior Award 2018 winner. He has done well in numerous competitions around the Czech Republic and abroad and was semifinalist of the Prague Spring International Music Competition in 2022. He was a member of Münchner Symphoniker, Academy of Chamber Music, orchestral academy of Czech Philharmonic, the European Union Youth Orchestra and is currently an ‘Extra list player’ at the BBC Symphony orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a member of woodwind Trio Slavic, Bath Festival Orchestra and in 2022 he became solobassoonist of the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
